Behavior and Tank Mates
The Red Chili Endler is a peaceful species that thrives in colonies. They are best kept in groups of six or more to see their most natural social behaviors. They are excellent companions for other peaceful nano-fish, such as Celestial Pearl Danios, and are generally safe to keep with adult Neocaridina shrimp.
Note on Breeding: Endlers are livebearers and are prolific breeders. If you wish to maintain the “Red Chili” lineage, it is recommended to keep them in a species-only tank or carefully manage the male-to-female ratio (typically 1 male to 2-3 females)
Key Features
-
Electric Coloration: Featuring a shimmering body dominated by deep crimson and vivid orange hues, these fish look like tiny embers swimming through the water.
-
Ideal for Nano Tanks: Due to their small adult size, they are the perfect residents for desktop aquariums and small setups where larger fish might feel cramped.
-
Active & Social: These are “busy” fish. They are constantly in motion, darting through plants and interacting with one another, providing endless entertainment for the observer.
-
Hardy & Beginner-Friendly: Red Chili Endlers are remarkably adaptable to various water parameters, making them an excellent choice for those just starting their fish-keeping journey.
